Our services

 

Haven works with children and young people aged 0-25 years old in the Sheffield and surrounding area who are, or have been, affected by domestic abuse. 

We offer a variety of individual and group support programmes, plus training for professionals who work in this field.
 
 

Children and Young People

We offer 1:1 therapeutic support for children and young people affected by domestic abuse and bespoke packages which support the complex needs of the children, young people and their wider family.

Additionally, there are a range of different group support programmes which complement the individual support.

Training for Professionals and Communities

We develop and deliver training/support for professionals and communities, helping them to understand the impact of domestic abuse on children and young people.

The training also provides information about what individuals can do within their role or situation to help reduce the negative consequences of domestic abuse.

History of Haven

Haven House charity was established in 1975 as a refuge for women and children affected by domestic abuse. We have developed over the years and now provide a range of services for children and young people, and their wider family, in Sheffield and the surrounding area. We also provide services to professionals, helping them to support the children and young people that they work with. Read more
