Domestic abuse affects people of all ages, races, religions and socio-economic groups. It can often be hard to recognise, harder to live with and sometimes even harder to move past. This page explains about the different types of domestic abuse, how to recognise it and the effects it can have.

Haven House charity was established in 1975 as a refuge for women and children affected by domestic abuse. We have developed over the years and now provide a range of services for children and young people, and their wider family, in Sheffield and the surrounding area. We also provide services to professionals, helping them to support the children and young people that they work with. Read more
