  1. Our impact

Thank you messages

The generosity of our funders and donors enables us to help children, young people and their families.

Here are just of few of the messages we've received.

"Haven have been amazing at helping myself and my daughter understand healthy relationships and my daughter is now thriving. She's confident and Independent and has found her voice, something I will not allow him to take away from her as he has me."
Mum

"Without an independent charity listening and caring about us I don't know how we would be now. Haven have improved our lives and my shy daughter who hid behind me, wet herself and had night terrors is full of confidence, making friends and growing into an incredible young woman."
Mum

"I’d like to pass on how brilliant I feel [x] is for her work with [Haven]. I’m cooking in the next room & can hear them both laughing & chatting & it’s like she’s the big sister she’s always wanted."
Mum

"I was so shocked when we got referred to Haven about how quick it was for the work to start as other services there is such a long waiting time. I had never heard about Haven before and was so happy to be offered the support. It's so good what you do and no one should be ashamed of getting help. I have spoken to other mums at 'Me, you and mum' group and they all say their children have support from Haven and how good they all think it is! The children boys really enjoy the sessions with you (the practitioner) and will be so excited now when I tell them they will still get to see you next week now they can't go to school. Thank you for everything you are doing"
Mum

"Bee the Change has been a wonderful programme for our children to access here at Arbourthorne Community Primary School. It has given our children the confidence and empowered them to become positive role models. Their knowledge about feelings, bullying and how to be a positive bystander has strengthened and it has been lovely to see children grow in confidence week by week."

"You’ve really changed our lives and it would be great to think other parents in this situation might be able to access the support we’ve had."
Mum

I’m cooking in the next room and can hear them both laughing and chatting and it’s like she’s the big sister she’s always wanted. It’s so good for her to have that trusted person who’s not involved in all of this drama just to chat to, even if it’s about art or her friends. It’s so positive for her mental health and she looks forwards to it every week."
Mum

"Thank you so much for the work you have done, especially with N. She came to me the other day telling me how much she had enjoyed the sessions and how she wasn't worried about mum anymore as she knows she is safe. N has even applied to be on school council which is such a step forward with her confidence."
School Nurse (referrer)

"Everything's been so hard for so long I think we've all got stuck. I can't thank you enough for your help."
Mum

"I am so pleased with the progress and help he has had throughout, he definitely has benefited a great deal."
Mum
